What is the We4U app?
The We4U app is an app that allows you to request help from people in your own network. For example, from family, friends, neighbors, or other acquaintances. The app is available through the app stores.
In these terms, we mean by:
you/your: the user of the We4U app;
we/us: We4U app B.V.;
agreement: the agreements between you and us;
in writing: also includes by email.
When do these terms apply?
These terms apply to all personal accounts of the We4U app. We may adjust these terms. If we do, we will let you know. Is part of these terms invalid? Then the other agreements will remain in force.
Using the We4U app
We do our best to make the We4U app work well and safely. We may modify, improve, or expand the app. Sometimes functions may change or disappear. We offer support for technical issues via support@we4u.app. We determine how we provide support. We make daily backups of data in the app.
You always remain responsible for:
the use of the app;
the data you share;
the help you request;
and the help you provide or receive.
Use your own name in your account and be honest about who you are.
We cannot guarantee that someone will respond to a request for help or actually offer help. We are also not responsible for agreements or contact between users outside the app.
Are you using the app while under the age of 16? Then you must have permission from a parent or guardian if required by law.
What is not allowed?
You may not use the app:
in violation of the law;
to mislead others;
to harass others;
to send spam or unsolicited messages;
to use other people's accounts;
to bypass security features of the app;
or in a way that causes damage or risk to others or to the app.
You are solely responsible for the messages, photos, tasks, and other information you share through the app.
The information and content you share through the app remain yours. By placing this information in the app, you give us a limited permission to use it for the functioning of the app. Only share data from others if you are authorized to do so.
Maintenance and availability
We may temporarily stop or limit the app if necessary for:
maintenance;
security;
technical adjustments;
or improvements to the app.
We cannot promise that the app will always work without disruptions or be available at all times.
The We4U app is not an emergency service or distress service. In an emergency, always call 112 or another appropriate emergency service.
Privacy and confidentiality
We handle personal data and other data processed through the app with care. We explain how we do this in our privacy policy. We do not sell personal data to other parties.
We will continue to handle data confidentially, even after your account has been terminated.
If we are required to share data because the law or a court obliges us to do so, we are not liable for this.
Deleting or blocking an account
A subscription purchased through an app store can be terminated through the respective app store and in accordance with the terms of that app store. Additional terms from Apple or Google may apply to the use of the app stores.
You can request to delete your account and data through the app. Some data may remain visible to other users if they are part of joint tasks, messages, or activities within the app. We may also be required to retain certain data.
We may temporarily block or terminate an account if:
these terms are violated;
there is abuse;
or the use poses risks or causes damage to others.
We may also delete messages, photos, or other content if they:
violate the law;
violate these terms;
are harmful;
or pose risks to users or others.
Ownership of the app
All rights to the We4U app, the software, texts, images, and design remain ours or our partners'. You only get the right to use the app normally in accordance with these terms. You may not copy, sell, modify, or otherwise use the app or parts of it outside of normal use of the app.
Liability
You use the We4U app at your own responsibility. We are not liable for damage resulting from:
the use of the app;
the help requested, offered, or received through the app;
acts of users or others;
or temporary disruptions or errors in the app.
We are also not liable for indirect damages, such as lost income or loss of data. We are only liable if the damage is caused by intent or a serious error on our part.
If we are found liable, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the use of the app in the twelve months prior to the damage. If the law dictates otherwise, the law applies.
Which law applies?
Dutch law applies to these terms. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless the law dictates otherwise.
