Use of the app
Which data do we use?
If you use the We4U app, we may use the following data from you:
first and last name
email address
profile picture or other image
your role in the app
your relationships with other users
payment details (unless you purchase a subscription via the app stores)
data you put in the app, such as tasks
other data you share with us, for example by email
Sometimes you enter sensitive data into the app yourself, such as health data.
This data is only processed within the functioning of the app and based
on what users share themselves.
Users are personally responsible for the data they share in the app and must ensure they only share other people's data with their consent.
You can delete your account at any time via the We4U app. You can also
email us at support@we4u.app if you need help. Your account and associated data will then be deleted. Some data may remain visible to other users if it is part of shared tasks, messages, or activities within the app. We may also be legally required to retain certain information, such as payment details.
Do you purchase a subscription through the App Store or Google Play? Then the payment is processed via Apple or Google. We do not receive your full payment details.
Are you under 16 years old and using the We4U app? Then we assume that you have consent from a parent or guardian to use the app and process personal data. If this is not the case, please contact us at support@we4u.app so we can delete the account.
Why do we use your data?
We use your data for these purposes:
to deliver our services (agreement)
to inform you about changes in our services (agreement)
to inform you about new services (legitimate interest)
to improve the app and gain insight into usage, without this data being directly traceable to you (legitimate interest)
to comply with legal obligations, such as maintaining our administration and tax affairs (legal obligation)
How long do we keep your data?
We keep your data as long as you have an account with us. You can delete your account. We may keep some data for a while after that. This may be necessary because other users still need that data, for example, for tasks or messages in the app.
Data we need for our administration is kept for seven years. This includes invoices and payment details.
Legitimate interest
We believe it is important to be able to inform you about any new services of the We4U app. If you do not wish to receive this, you can contact us.
We also find it important to understand how the app is used, such as the number of users and the type of tasks. With these insights, we can improve the app and ensure it continues to work well.

How long do we keep your data?
We only use your data for storytelling and marketing if you have given us consent. We keep your data as long as you have given consent. If you withdraw your consent, we will stop using your data.
Withdrawing consent
You can always withdraw your consent by emailing info@we4u.app. We will process your request as quickly as possible. Please note that it is not always possible to completely delete your story if it has already been shared online.
Webinars and other free services

We use software to send emails. After the emails have been sent, we no longer use your data unless you give consent or there is a new reason to do so. Your data is not automatically removed from this software. If you want your data to be completely removed, please contact us.
Legitimate interest
If you make use of a free service, we will send you a limited number of emails about that service and some about our service provision. We need your data to be able to send you the service and inform you about it. We will not send you a newsletter unless you have signed up for it. You can always unsubscribe using the link in the email.

Sharing with others
To perform our services, we share your data with other parties. These can be processors with whom we conclude a processing agreement. With parties that are not processors, we also make agreements where possible regarding the use and security of personal data.

We only share your data if it is necessary for our service delivery or to
comply with a legal obligation. We do not sell your data to
other parties.
Transfer of personal data
We try to collaborate as much as possible with parties that store your data within the European Economic Area (EEA).
Sometimes it is necessary to collaborate with parties outside the EEA. In that case, we ensure that your personal data is properly secured and that this is done in accordance with the rules of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
We then only collaborate with parties in countries that have an adequate level of protection according to the European Commission. If this is not the case, we make additional agreements to protect your data.
Security
We ensure that your personal data is properly secured against loss, misuse, or unauthorized access.
We take various technical and organizational measures for this purpose. For example, we use strong passwords and, where possible, extra security with a two-step login. We also work with secure systems and with parties that match the security level required for the data we process.
